It’s time to take the cover off the pool and refresh the backyard for all those hot weather activities. After growing up in Las Vegas without a pool, I adore this time of year and all the splish-splashing we get to enjoy. With my sun hat, sunscreen and book, I can be found near the water all summer long. I hope you get to soak up the rays and indulge in a bit of relaxation this year as well. Arcadia Home is taking to the outdoors this month, featuring great articles about your yard, garden and the best tree house in all of Arcadia. Our featured home is a modern haven, embracing the sharp lines and industrial look of many modern homes, while also using glass and architectural techniques to seamlessly blend the inside and outside world. The home, which was built by the Hurni family, is captivating and unique. It was a pleasure to get to know them and the home they meticulously constructed. Planning summer events? Arcadia resident Lisa Weisenburger shows us how to throw a party without heating up your home or slaving over the BBQ all afternoon. Using unconventional cooking techniques and opting for cold appetizers allows for a terrific dinner party with less heat and more fun! Lisa explains exactly how to pull it off.
