It not only appears inviting, it's perfect to snuggle under when there's a slight chill in the morning air while you’re sipping hot spiced coffee on the porch. In this climate you rarely have to worry about your blanket getting wet or ruined. 2 Bring an antique outside. Search your garage or closets for items you haven't used in years or whose practical life has ended. An old, rusty bike fi lled with fall flowers, a large laundry basket with cut birch logs or apples, or ceramic pitchers and vases now stuffed with pumpkins brings a welcoming sense of family history to your outdoor space. 3 Monochromatic color schemes, especially with muted natural tones, can subtly bring the summer porch into fall. Traditional shades of orange and gold or white and burlap mixed with soft blues are great color choices. Regardless of your style or your home's architecture, color sets the tone for fall.
