For this chef, his home kitchen is an extension of his restaurant. Three years ago, just after purchasing a town home in the heart of Arcadia, Chef Cullen Campbell began renovations on his kitchen. Each piece was chosen as they built, selecting materials that made sense to a man who spends his life behind burners and knives. “When I asked for stainless steel countertops, the builder said he’d never heard of someone doing it in a home,” said Cullen The electric stove would have to stay. Replacing electric for gas would have been an intense undertaking. The oven and stove Cullen chose for his kitchen were commercial quality and chef approved. Not long after finding this home, Campbell also found the woman he would marry. Cullen and Maureen were married in July 2013 and celebrated their reception at Crudo, the restaurant they co-own with mixologist Micah Olson. Continued on page 22
